Based in Ottawa, Canada, the Salmo Craft Co. is on a mission to create new and better ways to live outdoors and live sustainably through design, craftsmanship and innovation.

Founder & CEO
Angus McKinnon
Angus grew up with a passion for the backcountry. Exploring the Americas by canoe, skis, bike, or with a pack on his back and a fly rod in hand is his natural state. He’s also gained senior-level experience at some of Canada’s top science and tech, manufacturing and media organisations. Salmo is the culmination of that passion and experience.
Casa Verde Construction
Paul McElligott
Paul is the founder and CEO of Casa Verde Construction, an award-winning custom home and cottage builder based in Ottawa, Canada. He and his craftspeople are as good as it gets. Paul oversees product construction.
Flynn Architect
Jason Flynn
Jason is a passionate outdoorsman who is constantly seeking new ways to experience the world. This passion dives his award-winning architecture. Jason puts people at the center of his work, and strives to foster sustainability and healthy living environments. Jason is responsible for sauna design.
Shean Architects
Rick Shean
Rick is the founder and CEO of Shean Architects, named one of Canada’s top 25 architectural firms. Rick and his team are responsible for houseboat superstructure architecture and design.
Power DC Co.
Shane Power
It’s not just his name. Shane is a renewable energy and power systems expert with over 20 years of expertise in both off-grid PV systems and utility-scale power generation. Shane is responsible for solar system design and integration.
Millson Design Solution
Ben Millson
Ben, founder and CEO of Millson Design Solutions, is an in-demand naval architect and industrial designer. He lends his proficient skill to the design and development of Salmo boat hulls.
The name ‘Salmo’ derives from the Latin salmo, meaning salmon. The vast majority of the salmo species are actually trout. Trout and salmon live and thrive in beautiful, wild, healthy places. We want Salmo Craft Co. products to do the same.
