Wage: $35-40/hour, based on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime or weekends to meet project deadlines

About the position

As a Carpenter/Craftsman at Salmo Craft Co., you will play a leadership role in designing and building premium custom saunas for customers across eastern Canada. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential within the company.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in carpentry and construction, preferably residential or a related field. 
  • Deep understanding of tools, materials, and building techniques.
  • Proficiency in construction processes, including framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving construction techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Safety-oriented mindset in the workplace.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Alignment with the company’s vision and values.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality construction and carpentry skills, from start to finish of the building process.
  • Play a leadership role in product design and development, quality assurance, and workflow enhancements.
  • Play a central role in supply chain management and supplier relations.
  • Ensure product quality control from conception to delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe workplace.
  • Demonstrate a high level of commitment to company goals and objectives.
  • Champion the company’s products and embody its core values.
  • Travel locally for deliveries and installations as needed
